Jack E. Senter
Jack E. Senter grew up in Kipling, NC and graduated from Lafayette High School in 1940. He began college at Duke University until he was drafted for military service during World War II. He served in the Navy on the USS Andromeda and his ship was involved in the invasion of southern France, the Pacific theater and the invasion of Okinawa. He was discharged in 1946.
After leaving the service, Jack attended Cattawba College. He graduated in 1950 and married Frances Cornelia Ashworth, who grew up in Fuquay Springs. They moved to Macon, Georgia and Jack attended the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University, graduating in 1952. He was admitted to the NC Bar in 1953 and opened his practice in Fuquay Springs.
Jack was elected the Fuquay Springs Recorders Court Judge in 1958 and served for 13 years. He retired in 2003, after practicing law for fifty years.
He and Frances had four children–Milton, Kim, Fran and Amy and continue to live in Fuquay-Varina.
